Four (4) middle and/or high school students make up a team. Two of the students must be a City of Petersburg resident. (You must submit a copy of a current student school ID. The team advisor/mentors/facilitator does not have to reside in Petersburg.
Sponsoring Organization
The sponsoring organization shall assemble a 4-member team consisting of any of the combination of middle and/or high school students shown in the table above. The sponsoring organization will provide a mentor for the team. (When possible, STEMulating Youth will assist in identifying a mentor on the sponsor’s behalf.) The challenge registration fee ($35) is also the responsibility of the sponsor. Registration begins on October 25, 2024. A link will go live when registration begins. (Please provide the name and correct spelling of the sponsor organization. Should your team win, the monetary prize will be payable to the organization.)
Mentor
An adult who supervises the challenge project activities in the sponsor organization’s provided location. The mentor shall provide guidance but should not work directly on the project.
