What is the SocioTech Challenge?
The SocioTech Challenge is for middle and high school students. The team and their advisor select STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) projects for the betterment of their community (e.g. climate change, stormwater management, manufacturing workforce, renewable energy, or health and welfare, etc.) and the design and reasonable solution to be presented to and judged by a panel of industry professionals. The competing projects will be displayed for the community. Each team has the opportunity to win one of the following prizes for their sponsoring organization:

Community Choice Award* - $125

* The community determines the Community Award winner with their voting dollars. Each vote is one dollar ($). The team with the most votes receives half of the voting receipts. For example, 500 votes are casted (or $500 received).The team with the most votes will receive $250, at the very least, they will receive $125.
